This course is funded by Govt. Of Maharashtra;
Hence the annual fees to be paid by the students are negligible
compared to all other MSW courses in south India.
Master Of Social Work (M.S.W.)
Objective:
To impart scientific training to those
desirous of making a career in the field of social work.
Curiculum:
This is a two year post graduate masters degree course. During
this two years students will be trained in various aspects of
social work. At the beginning of each years students in small
groups of two or three are placed at various social work agencies.
They spend two days in a week to involve and learn from the activities
of these agencies. The remaining four days of a week is devote
for lectures, seminars, field work, conference etc The course
is divided into four semesters.
Specialisations:
In the second year, a student is required to choose any one
among the three specilisations offered namely,
1. Human Resource Management and Labour Walfare (Group
A)
2. Urban and Rural community Development (Group B)
3. Medical and Psychiatric social work (Group C)
