The M. Phil. Degree shall be normally considered a first research degree with emphasis on teaching methods & research methodology and advanced study of the subject. A M. Phil. candidate, after the completion of the degree may allowed to develop his dissertation in to a Ph. D. thesis on the recommendation of the guide.

  • Special field of study (Economics of Public Finance / Economics of
  • Agriculture and Co-operation / Industrial and Labour Economics)

The M. Phil. in Sociology will contain : 

  • Advance Research Methodology
  • Recent Development in Sociological Theory
  • Areas of Specialization (Agration social Structure and Change / Industrial Sociology / Sociology of Development / Sociology of Mass Communication)
The M. Phil. in Social Work will contain :
  • Research Methodology & Methodology of Teaching
  • History, Development, Philosophy and field of Social work
  • Areas of Specialization (Labour Welfare / Family and Child Welfare / Criminology and Correctional Administration / Urban and Rural Development )
